Tommy L. Miller III, MD, FACC, is a double board-certified interventional cardiologist at Heart & Vascular Center of West Tennessee, in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Dr. Miller earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1998. In 2001, he completed an internship and residency at Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
From 2001 to 2005, Dr. Miller completed fellowships in cardiology at Medical College of Virginia and interventional cardiology at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.
Dr. Miller has worked in West Tennessee since 2007, including nearly 13 years at Mid-South Heart Center in Jackson.
Today, Dr. Miller continues to pursue excellence in his field. He has served on several committees, including the West Tennessee Healthcare Peripheral Vascular and Utilization Review committees and the Lift Medical Advisory Committee.
Dr. Miller has also served as chair and a co-chair for the West Tennessee Healthcare Cardiology Department. He has performed research and been published on topics that include biomedical engineering.
Before he became a doctor, Dr. MIller worked in the pharmaceutical industry promoting cardiovascular products. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis, earning a Bachelor of Science in physiology in 1986.
